IBEA has the following positions open on the Board of Directors:
- Chicago (CBEA) Representative
- Central Illinois (CIBEA) Representative
- Northern Illinois (NIBEA) Representative
- Western Illinois (WIABEA) Representative
Each board member term lasts three years. The above positions are voting positions. Members are expected to attend two board meetings, one in late April and one at the fall conference. Board members are also assigned a role usually related to assisting at the fall conference.
