Our program was a 60 minute presentation entitled: Computer Literacy, Ubiquitous Computing, and Cool Apps for teachers and students in the classroom
Presented by: James Munger, Information Technology instructor at Lake Land College.
Description: Computer Literacy is a much-needed topic for our students, yet often gets overlooked in the classrooms. Learn how to incorporate computer literacy throughout the curriculum. The presentation will also discuss Ubiquitous Computing and how automation is taking over the modern world and what we can do to prepare our students to be successful. The presentation will also allow the attendees to discuss and experiment with several cool apps for the classroom including: Adobe Scan, Padlet, Dropbox, Google Drive, Google Calendar, etc.
*Attendees received one hour of CPDU credit for the presentation through IBEA.
The presentations was followed by dinner and our EIBEA business meeting where the 2018-19 EIBEA Teacher of the Year award was presented to Marcy Satterwhite from Lake Land College
