EIBEA Spring 2017 Meeting Info:

• The Eastern Illinois Business Education Association Spring 2017 meeting was on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois.  We met in Klehm Hall Room 1125 (Digital Media Lab). 

  We started with a one hour interactive presentation by Dr. Gabriel J Grant, Instructor of Digital Media in the School of Technology at EIU. Dr. Grant’s presentation was entitled:  Augment your classroom with Augmented Reality – Learn the Fundamentals of how Augmented Reality is created and use the Aurasma tool to create your own applications.  Download the app on your smartphone and create an account for free at http://www.aurasma.com 

  Attendees received one hour of CPDU credit for the presentation through IBEA.  The presentation was followed by a catered dinner from Smoky’s House BBQ and our EIBEA business meeting.

  The Award for outstanding EIBEA Teacher of the year for 2016-17 school year was presented to Amie Mayhall. See the awards page for more information on our award winner. Congratulations Amie!
